IBM Employees Give Generously
August 4, 2008, Cowansville:
Employees from the IBM Bromont plant have once again responded most generously in support of the
BMP Hospital Foundation.
The IBM Employees Charitable Fund
recently presented the Foundation with cheques totalling $20,500. Within this annual program, a
benchmark initiative within Canada for promoting and enabling employee philanthropy, Bromont
employees make voluntary charitable donations by payroll deduction, which the Company collects and
forwards to the charities of their choice.

With this year’s gift, the Bromont program has now
contributed over $336,000 to the BMP Foundation for providing the BMP Hospital with additional
medical equipment and training.
As an active partner within this program, the BMP
Foundation organizes an annual visit to the IBM plant, providing employees with on-site screening
for blood pressure, respiratory function, and osteoporosis. The BMP team will be visiting the
Bromont plant at both the lunch and dinner hours on Wednesday October 1 in this
regard.
The BMP Foundation thanks the program’s organizers
and all participating employees for their ongoing support and generosity.
