Ariane Lessard
Dostie Wins 2009 Scholarship
The BMP Foundation congratulates Ms. Ariane Lessard Dostie of Dunham
who is the winner of the 2009 BMP Foundation Scholarship. Ariane graduated in June from
École sécondaire Massey-Vanier in Cowansville and hopes to study Nursing next fall in
Sherbrooke.
Apart from maintaining an 89% academic average, Ariane is an accomplished athlete
(volleyball, soccer, flag football, cross-country, snowboarding and dance). As a student at the
Academie de musique she has played clarinet for five years, sung as a lead soprano and traveled
throughout the region's elementary schools to interest youngsters in attending the Academie. She
has also tutored junior students in mathematics and participated in the local Terry Fox Run and the
March Against Cancer.
The Foundation congratulates Ariane and all students who competed for this year's
Scholarship and commends each for their impressive accomplishments to date.
The BMP Scholarship Foundation Program is open to local students who are pursuing
a career in health care. The winner receives a $1,000 scholarship, repeatable each year of his/her
CEGEP program. As well, summer employment within the CSSS La Pommeraie is offered each year of
the program.
