Foundation Campaign to Play Key Role in BMP Expansion
As planning and preparation continues for two major
expansions of the BMP Hospital in the coming 12-18 months, the BMP Foundation is actively laying
the groundwork for a major campaign to help the Hospital realize these two important milestones.
“These are vital upgrades for our Hospital,” emphasizes BMP Foundation Chair, Paul
Meunier. “As in the past, the Foundation will certainly play a key role in helping the
Hospital realize these important improvements.”
The announced modernization of the Emergency Unit
will ensure that patients are treated under optimal conditions, with the best possible equipment,
personnel and resources. This modernization will improve both efficiency of service and quality of
care, ensure superior infection control, and provide the optimum environment in which our
caregivers can function and our users can be treated.
Construction of a new Specialized Medical Pavilion
will facilitate follow-up of people with complex diseases, and provide access to timely,
specialized medical attention before one’s condition requires acute care. From this centre,
specialized clinics will also place significant focus on the prevention of health care issues,
helping residents prevent and/or manage situations before they become critical, so as to avoid or
minimize hospital care or readmission.
The coming campaign will
target major corporations, businesses in the area, the doctors and employees of the CSSS La
Pommeraie, and the general public. More details will be announced as plans progress.
