BMP Car Raffle Winners Announced!
Cowansville, September 11, 2009: Mr. Paul Lemieux, a resident
of Dunham, is the happy winner of the sixteenth edition of the BMP Foundation car raffle.
Delighted as well is Paul's son, Marc, as his father generously decided that Marc would be the
ultimate recipient of the new automobile. The winning ticket was drawn by Mrs. Yolande
Gélinas of Waterloo, last year’s main prize winner, and was sold by Claire & Guy
Noiseux of Cowansville.
Our winner (holding car keys prior to
handing them over to his son) , Mr. Paul Lemieux, accompanied on his right by Mr. Frank
Johnston-Main, BMP Foundation Director General and on his left by son Marc with spouse Sylvie.
Winners of the five $1,000 cash prizes from left
to right: Keith Enright (Cowansville), Dianne Rhicard (Stanbridge East), Mario Lagüe
(Farnham), Réjeanne Loiselle (Dunham) and Leonard Kaplansky (Sutton).
Profits from this activity have enabled the Foundation to help provide a key new
program to enable users to remain in their homes longer, and for hospitalized clients to return
home faster. The Foundation has provided $50,000 to purchase equipment, software and training to
implement this program within our territory.
The BMP Hospital Foundation thanks the six Cowansville automobile dealers
(Automobiles Rocheleau, Bessette Automobile, Cowansville Mazda, Cowansville Toyota, Deragon
Ford/Lincoln, and Deragon Honda) who once again graciously provided the free use of vehicles
throughout the summer months.
The Foundation also salutes its media partners this year: Radio Station M105, Le
Guide and The Brome County News.
Thanks also go to the many volunteers, friends and hospital employees who
invested countless hours selling tickets on behalf of the Foundation; to the many businesses and
events throughout the summer who provided important venues for its vendors; and above all, to its
numerous friends throughout Brome-Missisquoi who have once again supported the Foundation so
generously.
