The Club de Troisième Age de Cowansville has recently made a generous
donation of $5,000 to the BMP Foundation for the purchase of new medical equipment for the BMP
Hospital.
President Viviane Lamarre, a 32 year member of the club, and Director
Ralph Julien presented the cheque to the Foundation on behalf of the club’s membership of
over 100 members. Participants gather regularly for card parties and Friday evening Bingo games in
the basement of the Ste Therese church in Cowansville.
Its not all fun however . . . the group raises money as it goes, which it donates
in turn to various community charities. With this gift the club has now given over $9,000 in
support of the BMP Hospital alone, an amount which surprised even the Club’s members.
