Cowansville Legion Helps Foundation
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 99
have recently made a donation of $4,700 to the BMP Foundation. The gift comes primarily from the
Branch's annual sale of poppies each fall (in remembrance of those Canadians who have fallen over
the years in war and military operations).
"We are pleased that we are able to invest these funds, which
come from our community, right back into our community", expressed the Branch's Poppy Fund
Chairman, Yvan Monast. "The BMP is a very key resource for all of our membership and, indeed,
for the public at large here in Brome-Missisquoi", added Branch President, Lloyd Harvey.
"Our members are happy and proud to be able to commit to doing our part to support this
important institution."
The funds will be used to purchase new
medical equipment for the BMP Hospital.
