The BMP Foundation congratulates Ms.
Élie-Anne Guay of Bedford as winner of the 2007 BMP Foundation Scholarship.
Élie-Anne graduated in June from École Secondaire Jean-Jacques Bertrand in
Farnham. Apart from maintaining a strong scholastic performance, Élie-Anne also
played for the school's volleyball team for four years, participated in several school committees
and programs, including Amnesty International, and traveled to Peru within the school's
international development program.
Within the broader community, she has also spent many hours
volunteering at both a seniors' residence and a youth centre. Élie-Anne will attend the
CEGEP de St. Laurent this fall as part of a nursing program, a step that she hopes
will lead to a career in speech therapy.
The Foundation again congratulates Élie-Anne and,
indeed, all contestants this year and commends each for their impressive accomplishments to
date.
