Great Day For The Hoot
The sun broke through the clouds just as the Owl Hoot Farm,
owned by John and Dianne Rhicard, opened its gates to the public for its 15th annual fundraising
sugaring off party for the BMP Foundation. Nearly 600 visitors took part in the afternoon
activities on Saturday, April 14th which resulted in approximately $4,000 being raised and donated
to the Foundation.
This is a family style event and its many attractions include live music,
blacksmith demonstrations, timber hewing, four teams of horse-drawn wagon rides, donuts made on
site, a baking table, canteen and, of course, ever-flowing maple syrup poured over troughs filled
with fresh snow.
Our thanks go out, once again, to the Rhicard family and their many friends for
their support over the years.

years' events.
