10th BMP Bike-A-Thon a Winner!
On Sunday, September 9th over 350 enthusiasts biked for
their health at the 10th edition of the BMP Bike-a-thon. They raised $83,445 which will be used to
purchase a new gastroscope and coloscope for the BMP Hospital’s Surgery Unit.
Young and old enjoyed outings on the 20 and 60 km circuits. Afterwards they
celebrated with Knowlton native Lyne Bessette, world class cycling champion and Bike-a-thon
spokesperson. Many were also happy recipients of the numerous participation prizes.

compliments of R. Laporte Sports.

committee members all contributed to the resounding success of this 10th edition of the BMP
Bike-a-thon and our community once again demonstrated its commitment to and
support for the BMP Hospital.
