The purchase of a new colposcope is attributable to the Yamaska Valley Optimist Club and the organization of the 14th Women Cancers Walk (2015) which raised the amount of $61,000.
The colposcope is a special microscope used to visualize any abnormalities or cancer cells. This equipment helps detect a possible cervical cancer diagnosis at a very early stage; therefore increasing the rate of a successful prognosis.
A heartfelt thank you from the BMP Foundation!
