The BMP Foundation would like to sincerely thank the Beau Gros Band for their fundraising dinner and show held on June 16 at the Granby Arena. Composed of Michel Nadeau, Yves Pronovost, Jean Patenaude and Alain Tétreault, the Beau Gros Band claims the title of the worst musicians in the world. With humour and good spirits, the group managed to raise $19,000 for a cause that is close to their hearts: youth.
A generous gesture
In a very generous gesture, the members of the Beau Gros Band decided to share the profits collected during the event equally between the Granby CHG Foundation and the Cowansville BMP Foundation. All the money will be invested in the Youth Funds of the two municipalities, thus reaching all the young people of the Pommeraie and Granby. The cheque for $9,500 was presented to Mrs. Lola Landes, Executive Director of the BMP Foundation, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
A history of commitment
The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Foundation is above all a story of committed citizens who are concerned about the health of their community. Since its creation in 1993, the Foundation has raised and invested more than $27 million in major reorganization projects to provide better services and access to health care.
