New Beds for Intensive Care Unit

While the BMP Hospital is in the process of replacing some of the beds in the Intensive Care Unit, the BMP Foundation has agreed to enhance this purchase to acquire higher quality beds.

Equipped with therapeutic surfaces, these beds prevent pressure wounds and increase patient comfort. Offering easy-to-access controls for both caregivers and patients, these beds will increase mobilization, which helps to treat and prevent pulmonary complications.

In addition to having a system that allows the patient to be weighed without moving him, these new beds are designed to help caregivers when transporting unstable patients for imaging examinations, without the need for stretcher transfers, which makes it easier for nurses to do their job while ensuring maximum patient comfort.

Patient safety is also increased with this new equipment. An alarm announcing a bed exit or a fall will immediately alert the staff in case of a problem.
