Yoga for cancer patients

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this service (Yoga for cancer) is suspended indefinitely.

The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation is proud to collaborate with Yoga and Movement (Laura Hernandez) and CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS to offer free yoga sessions specifically adapted for users with or in remission from cancer.

The project, developed with Laura Hernandez, a certified “Yoga4cancer” professor and holistic wellness consultant, is open to all BMP Hospital patients currently receiving treatment (chemotherapy / radiotherapy). Residents of the Brome-Missisquoi region affected by cancer and receiving their treatment at one of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS facilities are also admitted.

As the fall session has just ended, we were pleased to see the excitement among patients and the success of this program.

A new session is already announced for the beginning of 2020.
