Events Coordinator

About the Foundation: In a hospital where medical equipment must constantly be renewed, facilities adapted to new realities and the need for qualified personnel is constant, the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation team, supported by a community of caring people since 1993, mobilizes to raise the precious funds needed to purchase equipment and finance training. By working to improve and maintain access to healthcare, the BMP Foundation aims to make a difference in the lives of individuals facing the adversity of illness.

Role and expectations

Under the supervision of the General Manager and the Board of Directors, this person is responsible for coordinating fundraising activities (creation, organization, promotion, reporting and evaluation). He/she is also responsible for relations with sponsors and event communications.

Volunteer management is also an integral part of this position (recruitment, supervision, planning, etc.). The individual also works closely with the Communications Coordinator on visibility strategies and media relations partnerships.

Key skills required

The person in this position must have a keen interest in the Foundation’s mission, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of its component parts.

He or she must have good stress management and time management skills, and be willing to take on a variety of responsibilities that can be adapted to the Foundation’s needs. Bilingualism, interpersonal skills, a strong sense of autonomy and proactivity are essential for this position. The person we are looking for has at least three (3) years’ experience in project coordination, or has already worked for a fundraising organization. Knowledge of the healthcare network is an important asset.
