05 May 2019

THE BMP BRUNCH IS SOLD OUT!

The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation is pleased to inform you that the 31st edition of the BMP Brunch will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019. The fundraising event will take place at the Auberge West Brome and will offer two services, the first at 10:00 am and the second at 1:00 pm.

Organized in collaboration with the Knowlton Lions Club, the funds raised will help finance the BMP Hospital’s program to recruit and train graduate nursing students.

Anchored in Brome-Missisquoi

The BMP Brunch has been part of the Brome-Missisquoi events landscape since 1988. Created by Mr. Georges Bristol, this event was initially a small spaghetti dinner with the aim of raising money for the BMP Hospital. Over the past 31 years, fundraising has taken many forms: Spaghetti Dinner, Mayor’s Brunch Dinner, Roast Beef Brunch Dinner and, more recently, the BMP Foundation’s annual Brunch, which welcomes nearly 300 guests. This event is also an opportunity for participants to be served by several Mayors of the region. Whether it is to cut the roast beef or to serve water at the tables, they are happy to take the time to meet and exchange with the citizens of Brome-Missisquoi. In fact, we would like to underline that Isabelle Charest, Member of Parliament for Brome-Missisquoi, has already confirmed her presence for this event.

Emphasize volunteer involvement

Since 2016, the BMP Brunch has been the setting for the presentation of the George Bristol Award for Volunteer Involvement. The purpose of this award is to promote, develop and recognize the exceptional and sustained commitment of women and men who are committed to the well-being of our community. The 2019 award will recognize one or more individuals who have demonstrated altruism, dedication and availability within our organization.

Knowlton Lions Club

Since 2014, the BMP Foundation has been privileged to count on the support of the Knowlton Lions Club. Founded in 1956, the Club now has 46 members who work year-round to improve the well-being of the most disadvantaged in our community. Each year, the Club organizes various benefit activities and the funds raised are reinvested in the community.
