30th BMP Brunch

The BMP Brunch raises $14,500

The Brome-Missisquoi Perkins Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the results of the 30th edition of the BMP Brunch presented yesterday at the Auberge West Brome. Thanks to the generosity of the partners, sponsors and 270 guests present, the event raised a final amount of $14,500. These funds will help fund a major recruitment and training program for nursing graduate students at the BMP Hospital.

The event was an opportunity to present the 2018 George Bristol Volunteer Award which recognizes the dedication of volunteers within the Foundation to Barbara Ash. Auxiliary nurse by profession, she worked at the BMP Hospital for 20 years. Today, she passes on her expertise and knowledge as a teacher at the CRIF. Involved since 1992 at the BMP Hospital even before the BMP Foundation was created in 1993, she participated as a volunteer in numerous events including the Bike-a-thon, Golf tournament, Ski Owls Head, Grand Ball and Oktoberfest. For several years, she also introduced local students aspiring to a career in the health field to the BMP Hospital through student visits with Dr. Robert Pincott. The BMP Foundation is privileged to still count on the support of Ms. Ash to help improve the quality and accessibility of care offered at the BMP Hospital.

Our thanks to the Knowlton Lions Club for their valuable assistance in organizing the BMP Brunch. From ticket sales to finding sponsors and volunteering at the event, the Lions Club’s participation is greatly appreciated.
