Over 900 sugar lovers in Brome-Missisquoi!
The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation is pleased to share that we have a lot of sugar lovers in our region! Our My Sweet BMP event in collaboration with Domaine de l’Artisan and Domaine Bresee Winery raised a wonderful $10,000 in profit. Combining the orders from Saturday, March 13 and Saturday, April 10, the Domaine de l’Artisan prepared 462 sugar shack meals for two. The funds raised will be invested 100% in the acquisition of new equipment for the BMP Hospital.
“We are touched by this mobilization of the community to support both our Hospital and local producers. Together, great things are within our reach! We look forward to sharing our other new ideas soon!” said BMP Foundation Executive Director, Mr. Francis Laramée.
After picking up their drive-thru meal bags, participants were able to warm up a real feast: Pea soup, maple ham, omelette, sausages in maple syrup, baked beans, hash browns, coleslaw, marinade, maple doughnuts, maple delight, grilled bacon (Oreilles de crisse), bread, creton and a can of maple syrup.
The BMP Foundation would like to thank all the donors and participants of this fundraising event as well as Domaine Bresee Vineyard and Domaine de l’Artisan without whom this project would not have been possible. Thank you for being there when the BMP Foundation’s call went out! The BMP Foundation team would also like to thank the volunteers who participated in our drive-through on Saturdays, March 13 and April 10. Thank you for supporting us, especially during this complicated time for the BMP Hospital. THANK YOU!
