The Respiratory Therapy Department is a crucial service at the BMP Hospital. The in-house clinic assesses respiratory capacity, diagnoses lung diseases, and performs Holter tests, a non-invasive procedure that records heartbeats for 24 to 48 hours to detect potential abnormalities.
The specialists working in this department are also sent to the Emergency Department and long-term care units to assist with intubating patients, administering medications, and managing any respiratory issues, such as acute asthma.
To help streamline these services, the BMP Foundation has invested in purchasing equipment to support the work of the medical staff.
