It is with great pride that the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation is redistributing most of the donations raised through its fundraising activities in 2023 through various projects in our beautiful region.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Creation of the BMP Hospital

1910-1993

Between the purchase of the American House Hotel in 1910 by doctors and citizens and the expansion of the BMP Hospital in 1952, the citizens of Brome-Missisquoi remained engaged and involved! In fact, the Hospital Foundation was created in 1993 following a major campaign.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Humain chain

1999

All citizens of Brome-Missisquoi remember 1999, a time when the community mobilized itself in an exceptional way! A human chain was created around the BMP Hospital to protest the closure of the trauma center.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Creation of CEGEP scholarships

2002

The BMP Foundation creates the Student Bursary Program to encourage and attract local students to pursue their studies and careers in the health care field in Brome-Missisquoi. Since its establishment, several recipients have joined the health care staff at La Pommeraie.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Creation of Emergencies

2008-2013

The 2008-2013 Capital Campaign raised a significant $10.2 million including annual campaigns. With these donations, the BMP Foundation is helping to fund the relocation of the Emergency Department and the construction of specialized outpatient clinics.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Birth pavilion

2017

With the financial support of the BMP Foundation, the Birthing Pavilion is getting a facelift. Users who have given birth to a child have enjoyed beautiful rooms in a rejuvenated setting with new furniture for a BMP Foundation investment of $250,000.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Oncology clinic

2018

The BMP Foundation is proud to welcome cancer patients to a bright, modern Oncology Clinic. Opened in 2018, the renovation required a $1.7 million investment from the BMP Foundation.

30 years of the BMP Foundation – Orthopedic Clinic

2018-2022

In 2022, we closed our Rise – Rise Capital Campaign where we exceeded our goal by raising $5,202,574! Thanks to all the donors and volunteers in this campaign, the BMP Foundation was able to help fund the brand-new Orthopedic Clinic. The new clinic is more spacious, accessible, and meets the growing demand for orthopedic treatment.
