The Walk to Fight All Cancers to Come…

The 25th annual Walk to Fight All Cancers has officially wrapped up, and we’ll be back for our 26th annual walk in 2027! Read on for this year’s results.

The Yamaska Valley Optimist Club and the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation are pleased to share the results of the 25th annual Walk to Fight All Cancers, held at the Lac-Brome Community Centre on October 4.

More than 200 people came together this year to support those affected by cancer. Thanks to their participation and the generosity of walkers and sponsors, over $70,000 was raised to support cancer prevention and treatment at Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital!

We also extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors, Pharmacie Jean Coutu Julie Coderre, MNP and Virgin Hill Coffee, and our partners, Maître Glacier Bromont and Deragon Ford.

This year’s proceeds will fund three pieces of specialized medical equipment for the operating room, emergency department and outpatient surgical clinic.

This equipment will help:

• Improve the early detection of lesions and abnormalities.

• Increase capacity for mastectomies with sentinel lymph node biopsies;

• Expand the range of examinations and surgical procedures available;
