The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation is pleased to inform you that it contributed the amount of $4,000 to fund a project for a series of musical performances in the residences of the Brome-Missisquoi territory.
This series of concerts takes place in the CHSLDs in order to bring several benefits to the patients: reduction of anxiety, moment of relaxation and a change in their daily life. The residents, their loved ones and the health care workers on site have benefited from this project. In fact, five local CHSLDs have been visited in this project: the CHSLDs of the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital, of Cowansville, of Farnham, of Bedford and of Sutton.
For the first CHSLD, the geriatric ward of the BMP Hospital, the concert date was Saturday, June 26, 2021. The series continued on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 for the Cowansville and Farnham CHSLDs. The tour then ended on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Bedford and Sutton CHSLDs.
It should also be noted that the show was only instrumental and that all musical genres were present to please everyone. For example, the musical program went from Pachellbel to the Beatles. The Foundation wishes to congratulate the musicians and especially thank theparticipants of this project!
